Ghazal Foroutan

This is a small comic zine sharing a true story that happened in 1929 in Iran. These 6 women tried to break the taboo of wearing colorful clothing by switching their black hijabs to different ones. This was a revolutionary act that was out of the ordinary for the people of the time. However this taboo was broken gradually over the years. It has a great resemblance to how women of today are fighting to make a change.
